The president was presiding over the Kenya Ni Mimi Youth Campaign launch at the Bomas of Kenya on Monday, December 7. Uhuru was called on the stage to participate in a dance session and even though he was rusty at first, he did catch up to the moves. As Diamond’s song played in the conference hall, Uhuru showed that he was still young at heart and when it came to moving his waist while crouching, he did not disappoint.
An elated Diamond shared the video on his Instagram account thanking the president and Kenyans for always supporting him. “Will never stop thanking Mr President Uhuru Kenyatta and the whole of Kenya for the love and support that you show me every day, I love you even more,” he wrote.
The collaboration has become one of the biggest songs so far gaining more than 10 million views on YouTube in just seven days since its launch. As The Trend254 had predicted earlier, it could end up being one of the biggest, or the biggest songs of the year likely to grab many awards come 2021.
Staying with Uhuru’s dancing, We recently reported about a lady who perfectly mimicked the head of state’s dance moves in a hilarious clip. Lady perfectly mimics President Uhuru Kenyatta’s dance moves in a hilarious video In a funny TikTok video shared on Twitter, content creator Esther Kazungu perfectly mimicked President Uhuru’s moves, leaving many netizens in stitches. Dressed in a black makeshift suit and checked tie, Esther would try a certain move and then cut to Uhuru’s video which showed him pulling the same move on the dance floor. Many were excited by the video and even suggested it could be one of the things why Uhuru could not deal with Twitter after recently revealing why he deactivated his social media platforms.
